Do you work for me or for MoMove Newquay?
During your property purchase, we represent you and your interests only — not MoMove’s. go2mortgages is a completely separate entity to Mo Move Newquay.
We liaise with you directly, and only once we have reported to you and received your consent will we share only the necessary information with Mo Move Newquay. A good relationship with an agent gives them confidence in you as a buyer that they can in turn, pass on to their vendors (owners) as they know we offer equal values of transparency and honesty, ensuring we wouldn’t be providing you with an agreement in principle if we didn’t think you had an exceptional chance of a mortgage offer.
Am I free to use a mortgage advisor of my choice if I wish to offer or buy a house from Mo Move Newquay?
Absolutely… as a buyer, you are free to use any mortgage lender or advisor of your choosing; your choice of lender or advisor will not have any bearing on the validity of your offer. All good relationships work both ways, and we are always on hand for them should they need any advice on the mortgageability of a property.
If I offer or agree another house through another estate agent, can I still use go2mortgages as my advisors?
Of course, you can… If Mo Move Newquay introduce you to us, you are free to purchase any house from any other agent. Likewise, as advisors, sometimes it helps us to have experienced estate agents on hand when we need to use their knowledge to help us guide you towards the right lender. Mo Move Newquays’ experience and knowledge are invaluable to us as advisors, even if you are not buying a house through them.
I see you are also based in Cheltenham… is this the same company?
Yes, it’s the same company. Phil (father and co-owner) is based in Cheltenham, while Liam (son and co-owner) and Nick operate in the Newquay area.
Do you have access to a wide range of lenders?
Yes. Through a broad panel reflective of the whole market, we have access to a wide range of well-known high street lenders as well as smaller, specialist ones. We use our experience and market knowledge to find the best deal for your specific circumstances.
Do you charge a fee?
Yes, like most mortgage brokers, we charge a fee to arrange a mortgage. Local firms typically charge around £350–£400. go2mortgages usually charges £295 for a residential mortgage (and £395 for Buy to Let). However, through our partnership with Mo Move Newquay, we are proud to reduce this by £100 for Mo Move Newquay clients. This means our residential fee is just £195, making it one of the best value options locally.
Do Mo Move Newquay receive a commission?
Yes. Mo Move Newquay will receive a small percentage of the commission that go2mortgages receives when arranging a mortgage.
